Las Vegas

Well.. what can you say. A crazy place. It trurly never sleeps.. :)

After waking up in Tijuana we headed to the border. Passport control was totally different I had expected. One guy just took a quick look at the passport and asked what do I have in my plastic bag. I told jeans and a water bottle and he was happy with it. Of course there was later a security check for bags as well, but still.. :)

Anyway, our car (which we left to San Diego), was still ok. We took it and drove through Mojave desert and finally ended up to Las Vegas. Total driving distance was about 500km so it took some 5 hours to drive. During the drive we visited some outlets and bought some more clothes.

Weather was like a bride and as we drove some time without roof in the desert our skin was also getting some tan and was almost buring when we finally arrived to Vegas.

Circus Circus

Interstingly enough, we found our hotel very easily. Circus Circus was ideally located to Las Vegas strip where all big hotels are and where all the action is. Place itself was huge, providing over 3700 rooms, own amusement park and so on. In Las Vegas we spent two nights visiting all famous casinos, gambling a bit and of course partying in different places.

In addition to cheap accomodation, Circus Circus had a plenty of cheap and good quality food, and of course different kinds of entertainment.

On Sunday we went to Halloween party, which took place in Ceasar Palace's nightclub Pure. We also visited the place on Saturday, but unfortunately the queue was too long - we should have waited there several hours to get in - so we decided to leave. On Sunday evening we were the second ones in the line and still needed to wait 1.5 hours to get in. So... better to get your name on VIP-list somehow. The VIP-tickets people give you in the hotel are quite worthless and doesn't help in the actual VIP line at all. Some taxi drivers are also selling those, but you'll get them from inside for free. I actually tried to give the doorman some bucks to get in and he almost died laughing - apparently he was waiting better tips than 20$. ;)

However, the place was just brilliant, there were three different bars decorated in different ways. Interesting was also the 1300 square meters terrace offering panoramic view to Las Vegas strip. That was something that pictures cannot justify in night time. :)

Bellagio

Bellagio was not bad either. It is probably the most gracious hotel in Vegas having amazing decoration inside. The fountain shows outside are also stunning.

It would have been nice to spend even more time in Vegas as three days definitely was not enough. There are so many places to see and lose your money. But... maybe it was good to move on. :)
