Night Life

Night life in Los Angeles was great. We visited local bars and some clubs in sunset strip and were surprised how small they were. One could easily think a girl like Jessica Simpson would visit a huge nightclub with thousands of people, but these were really small. Anyway, every night there was a live band playing and the music was really good.

Our hotel arranged every day a trip to different nightclub, so if you had some extra time, it was the perfect opportunity to see Los Angeles night life, and to get to know other hotel visitors as well.

It was also good in California that smoking was no allowed in bars. One interesting thing I noticed was some bartenders could sell only beer - they were not allowed to sell any strong alcohol. First I thought I was too drunk or something when the bartender said he cannot sell alcohol to me, but luckily things turned out to be ok. :)

One interesting place we visited was The Viper Room, owned by actor Johnny Depp. It's actually the same place where River Phonix collapsed and died of a druges overduse in 1993. We also visited in The Roxy, which should be the celebrities favourite rock club.

There were also smaller parties in the hotel, e.g. a pool competition, grill party and so on.
