The city of Palm Springs is located approximately 170 kilometers from Los Angeles to east. It's famous for its residents (Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Dean Martin...), numerous golf courses (110+) and Spas. It's told most of the top 400 richest people in the world lives in Palm Springs - that's why we also headed there.. :) Nope, in Palm Springs I needed to do the business side of the trip by attending Compound Semiconductor Week Manufacturing Expo (CS-MAX).
Hyatt Grand Champions and Spa

We stayed overnight in Hyatt Grand Champions and Spa. Place was just brilliant, but of course didn't have much action as the conference took place. Hotel had two golf courses, own spa and many pools. The weather in Palm Springs was very warm, sometimes over +35°C. I wonder what is it like in summer time... :P We spent total three nights in Palm Springs - I spent my time mostly in the conference and Toni either in the hotel or city. |
Palm Springs is indeed the great place to rest and be in quiet. The weather was just gorgeous even though it was very dry. Scenery was also breathtaking with all the mountains and the desert.
